Speaking during a tour which the office had in Mangochi to appreciate the progress of peace making project on Wednesday April 24,2024, advisor on legal affairs in the office of the ambassador of island Manuel Malamba expressed satisfaction with the way social concern is doing it’s activities.
Malamba took advantage of the tour to encourage youths not to be used by politicians endurging into violences.
Malamba said the 2025 general elections should give people chance of exercising their rights not doing violences.
On the challenges which the project is encountering like mobility Malamba promised to address them after consulting the authorities.
Project officer of Centre for social concern organisation in Malawi Charles Mkangala said that the project is indeed bearing good fruits in the district.He mentioned about Uniting people of different religions and also of different political parties who are now working together developing the nation.
A peace advocacy project implemented by centre for social concern organisation is being carried out in Mangochi district in the districts of Jalasi ,Bwananyambi,Chimwala,Makanjira and Namkumba with a support from the office of island.
