Mangochi District Health office has applauded the district council for the cleaning exercise held at the hospital.
Mercy Paundi, one of the Health workers at the district hospital said the initiative is crucial considering that health workers at the district said that the initiative is crucial considering that health premises need to be well cleaned.
According to Paundi a dirty environment can be a source of other diseases to patients and guardians so that such exercises are very essential. In her final remarks she assured that as a district hospital will continue doing the exercise to make Mangochi a district free from contagious diseases.
“We had organized this clean up campaign just to make sure the environment is safe from all the wastes that may cause infections to our patients including the guardians staying at this facility”, Paundi explained.
On his part, John Douglas who was among the people participants of the exercises said that as a citizen he thought it wise to participate to show patriotism. Douglas encouraged other people in different areas to love this country by participating in activities that promote good health.
Mangochi District Council conducts the cleaning exercise campaign every month.
