Wanderers End Trophy Drought

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers’ president and board chairperson Thomson Mpinganjara has praised the team’s players and coaches for winning the Castel Challenge Cup. The team ended a two-year trophy drought by defeating Mzuzu City Hammers 1-0 in the final.
Mpinganjara expressed his joy, stating that the team deserves the recognition. He also commended the supporters for their loyalty, even during difficult times.
When asked about a possible festive season bonus for the team, Mpinganjara remained tight-lipped. However, he acknowledged the frustrations he faced during the team’s trophy drought.
Caretaker coach Bob Mpinganjara dedicated the cup to Mpinganjara and the fans. The team’s CEO, Panganeni Ndovi, described the victory as a sign that the team is on the right track.
The team celebrated their win with a parade in the capital city, stopping at various locations to meet with supporters.
