The Ministry of Gender, Community Development, and Social Welfare is set to introduce a social cash transfer program across Malawi, aiming to support vulnerable populations. During an orientation session with media editors, Chief Social Welfare Officer Chifundo Namchukwa highlighted the vital role of the media in disseminating accurate information about the program.
Namchukwa emphasized the importance of editors in shaping the narrative and ensuring that helpful information reaches the public. She expressed appreciation for the editors’ enthusiasm to collaborate with the ministry and assured them of the ministry’s commitment to supporting the media throughout the program’s implementation.
