Maneb Shuts Down St Mary’s Marking Centre Amid Payment Dispute.

Date:

The Malawi National Examinations Board (Maneb) has shut down the St Mary’s Secondary School marking centre, citing a breach of contract. Although the specifics of the breach were not disclosed, the closure comes after examiners at the centre boycotted marking Form 4 examinations due to alleged delayed payments from Maneb.
Maneb has instructed examiners to vacate the premises by 10 am on Friday and has assured them that payment for already marked scripts will be made through direct bank transfer. Examiners who wish to continue marking as per the agreed terms can collect relevant forms from the centre coordinator’s office.
