LM and Company Attorneys, a local law firm, has donated K900,000 to the Insurance Institute of Malawi (IIM) to support its upcoming annual lakeshore conference, scheduled to start on Thursday in Mangochi District.
Shalom Hanjahanja-Ngalande, a junior associate at LM and Company Attorneys, highlighted that the donation reflects their dedication to fostering strong relationships within the insurance sector. Hanjahanja-Ngalande stated, “Our firm is committed to collaborating with everyone in the insurance industry, from brokers to insurance companies. Their business constitutes a significant part of our work, which is why we are pleased to offer this support.”
IIM Events Manager Thomas Kholowa emphasized the conference’s goal of enhancing the industry through its services. “Insurance is fundamentally about service, and we aim to guide industry players on improving their practices.”
This year’s conference will take place at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge, with the theme “Transforming Malawi through Insurance Innovation, Inclusion, and Growth Towards Malawi 2063.”
Deputy Secretary to the President and Cabinet Janet Bands, who also leads the Presidential Delivery Unit, is expected to be in attendance.
