FCB Nyasa Bullets have strengthened their squad by signing 24-year-old Zambian left-back Dominic Musonda. The former Mutondo and Green Eagles player secured the move after a successful two-week trial with the club.
Expressing his gratitude, Musonda said he feels at home in Malawi and is eager to contribute to the team’s success. He acknowledged the competitive nature of the squad and emphasized his commitment to working hard to earn his place.
Musonda is the fourth signing for Bullets this year, joining Chikumbutso Henderson, Andrew Jovinala, and Blessings Joseph as the club aims to bolster its squad for a successful season.
The Zambian defender is an option for today’s preseason clash against Kamuzu Barracks at Champions Stadium. Bullets head coach Peter Mponda highlighted the significance of the match, describing it as a crucial test of the team’s preparedness. He acknowledged the challenges posed by national team call-ups and injuries during preseason but remains optimistic about the team’s fitness and readiness.
Meanwhile, Kamuzu Barracks, under their new coach Nicholas Mhango, are also preparing for the upcoming season. Mhango sees the match as an opportunity to assess his squad’s strength and tactical readiness.
With both teams eager to fine-tune their squads ahead of the season, today’s encounter promises to be an exciting preseason showdown.
