The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has announced a two-year partnership with Admiral Sports, making them the official technical sponsor for all Malawi national football teams. Under this agreement, Admiral will provide equipment worth approximately K400 million.
Speaking at the unveiling event at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre, FAM President Fleetwood Haiya described the partnership as a significant milestone. He emphasized that the deal will enhance the identity and quality of kits for Malawi’s national teams, including the Flames, the Scorchers, and junior teams.
Previously, FAM’s Moto brand kits were produced in collaboration with Asian manufacturers, but this new partnership will elevate production standards and commercial benefits. Haiya highlighted that revenue from merchandise sales will directly support national team activities, making the deal more than just a sponsorship but a strategic alliance for football development.
Admiral South Africa General Manager Roger Livesey expressed excitement about working with Malawi football, promising that the partnership would strengthen both the FAM and Admiral brands internationally.
The new kits will feature logos of FAM, Admiral, and Moto, reflecting the collaboration between the two brands. Additionally, FAM plans to launch an online merchandise store in May to make official team apparel more accessible to fans.
