University and college students in the country have been urged to spotlight their careers and capabilities by drawing themselves near to God who can help them realize their potentials.
Making the remarks on Saturday 2nd September 2023 was the bishop for Dream Center International Assembly, which is under Malawi Assemblies of God, Dr. Andrew Dube, during the event called ‘Ineyo Yesu Anakonza’, under the ministry of university and college students, known as ‘University and College students outreach’.
The event that summoned alumni and students from various universities and colleges including UNIMA, MUBAS, MUST, KUHES, Catholic University and Soche Technical College, was spiced up with artistic performances from various young people including the “Na iwe Anakonza” star Kelvin Singz.
The gathering that started with praise and worship songs led by Kelvin Singz who also happened to be the guest artist, was then graced by Bishop Dr. Dube with a word of encouragement to the intellectuals, a message titled “Spotlighting your eternal relevance”.
Among other things, Bishop Dube, who is also the president for Malawi Assemblies of God, pointed out that the students should be living a positive and hopeful life that one day they will surely achieve their dreams only if they make the right decisions and cease no more in prayers.
“Each one of them carries in them an eternal deposit of destiny and it is up to them to make it visible, so am saying what is needed is for them to make it visible, that which they have carried for years, that which they will carry into their future, it is really on them to make it visible”, said Dube.
Commenting on the development, Happy Chimphako, the chairperson of the ministry who is also an alumnus of Kamuzu Collage of Health Sciences (COM campus) said the event which happened under the theme “Breaking Bad, Building G.O.A.T” went beyond their expectations, which they arranged to empower the students to have themselves positive feeling that they are able to do wonderful performances.
“We say Ineyo Yesu Anakonza for you to realize that you were fearfully and wonderfully made for a purpose, so we believe that if we take students to come to Jesus the way they are so, if they walk with him, they will make it to heaven, and we are really impressed with the event”. Noted Chimphako.
‘Ineyo Yesu Anakonza’ program started in 2019, with the aim of letting university and college students have access to the truth about the word of God, and building relationships and interactive life among them.
