The Minister of Education paid a visit to several secondary schools in the district of Zomba on Monday, July 3, 2023, to observe and appreciate the progress of the 2023 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) Examinations, which are currently underway nationwide,
During her visit, the minister of education Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima toured Namadidi CDSS, Nankhunda, St Michael’s CDSS, and Luntha CDSS secondary schools.
Addressing journalists, she expressed her satisfaction with the smooth administration of the examinations.

Minister Wirima also emphasized the importance of maintaining tight security throughout the examination period, urging the security agencies to remain vigilant.
She stressed the role of invigilators in ensuring a smooth process within examination rooms.
Furthermore, Minister Wirima called upon all candidates to uphold discipline during the examinations, cautioning that the Ministry would not tolerate any misconduct.
Addressing candidates whose examination fees had been mismanaged by their teachers, Minister Wirima expressed leniency on behalf of the Ministry and MANEB, allowing them to write the exams.

However, she advised them to follow the correct procedures when paying examination fees in the future.
According to the Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB), a total of 160,524 candidates
