Meanwhile, Burundi defeated Malawi 3-2 in another Group L match. Mokono Eldhino scored the winning goal for Burundi in the 87th minute.
Tunisia also secured a narrow 1-0 win over Madagascar in Group A. Ferjani Sassi scored the winning goal in the 98th minute.
The Central African Republic defeated Lesotho 3-1 in Group B, with Louis Mafouta scoring twice for the Central African Republic.
