POLICE IN BLANTYRE RECOVERS STOLEN PHONES

Occured on 17 October 2022 at around 2300 hrs at Kwacha Scallars bar.Mr Msungeni Salanje,Aged 34,Village Kabango, T/A Kumtaja,District Blantyre,Occupation Businessman C/o KUHES,P/Bag 360, Chichiri Blantyre 3 reported in above case against Chipiliro Loudon, Aged 27,Village Matekenya,T/A Nkhumba,District Phalombe and two others who are at large who went away with his cellphone samsung galaxy note 8 valued at MK220,000.00.

Facts are that the reporter was at scallars bar where he was enjoying with his friends and he left his Samsung Galaxy note 8 on the table,whilst there, the suspect passed by the table and hooked the cellphone and disappeared into crowded ground where people were dancing, in the process the reporter noticed that his phone is missing from the table and become suspicious of the suspect so he started hunting for him. Upon noting that he is being hunted, he told his accomplices about the situation and they boarded the vehicle, they were using MJ 6985 Nissan Note white in colour and this prompted the reporter to follow them up to Blue Elephant where the two unknown criminals jumped and run away from the vehicle but the suspect failed to run away and was immediately caught and taken to Soche Police, where officers managed to impound the vehicle.The vehicle upon being searched the following items were found ;(1) Samsung Galaxy note 9,(2)two techno spark 8 cellphones,(3)Itel Triple Camera cellphone(4)Itel A16 plus(5) loose cannabis sativa which was wrapped in a black plastic jumbo(6) some offensive weapons which include panga knives, screw drivers and a crowbar.Upon interviewing the suspect, he narrated that the phones were stolen at scallars and blue elephant respectively.Currently two of the cellphones have been positively identified.

Meanwhile casefile have been opened and investigations are underway to trace the two accomplices and recover the stolen item.
