Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority MACRA has revoked content licenses for two privately owned media houses 101FM and Dziko FM for failing to settle their outstanding balance amounting to 35 million kwacha.

In a statement made available to the public through their Facebook page which Angaliba has seen, Macra has given the 2 institutions a 30 days notice to close down their transmissions. MACRA further says the two are free to apply for new licenses only if they pay the outstanding fees.

In a related development MACRA has cleared Angaliba Radio and Television after settling the outstanding bill which made the institution to cease transmission. As it is Angaliba will be back on air.
