Prophet Shadrick Msunga Mbewu Acquitted of Assault Charges.

Date:

A magistrate court in Mkukula, Dowa, has acquitted Prophet Shadrick Msunga Mbewu, founder of Christian Gathering Worship Center, of indecent assault charges. The allegations stemmed from a December 2022 incident where a girl claimed the prophet assaulted her during a one-on-one prayer session in his office. However, after hearing testimony from both parties, the court found Prophet Msunga Mbewu not guilty on August 26, 2024, ruling that the assault did not occur. Following his acquittal, the prophet advised fellow religious leaders to have office assistants present during private meetings to avoid similar accusations.
